The karma wheel rolled around quickly and I got super sick at the beginning of the week for calling out of work the beginning of last week. No regrets though, I needed to call out for some school related stuff and I'm hoping I'm getting the whole sick thing out of my system so I can stay disease free for the next few weeks.
School starts in a few days, which is fun and scary. It's weird but I'm nervous about my art classes. Weaving should be could because I know nothing about it and apparently love throwing myself into those situations. Enameling is scaring me because it's my second metals class and might dictate how I want to shape my future. You know earlier today I considered checking out Pratt to transfer to. It's a ludicrous idea, but I just really want to be a product designer and feel like I have no idea how to do that. I think I'll take Godley up on her offer to help us work more in depth with the things we made last semester. It looks like my best option. The other thing that scares me about next semester is, of course, working in the scene shop. Another situation where I don't know what I'm doing. Yeah, I volunteered there last semester, but I don't know what's expected of me and all that. I want to learn about all the power tools and what not, but that's as far as my desire goes with this job. Jesse C. from KoP's friend Dan is working down there too, which is cool. I don't like many of the people down there so it's nice to have a friendly face. We get along, and though he's a super weird theatre major, he makes things fun when the other theatre majors just bitch about having to get so many hours in for "practicum."
People have been encouraging me to go out for some of the plays they put on, which is flattering, I must say, but we'll see. I have a tendency to overload myself lately. Oh, and the director's major crush on me doesn't help considering he's like 50 years old. Soo gross. "major crush" is such a little kid term, but it was just so appropriate, kind of like "Soo gross."
OH YEAH GUYS! Was anyone on the "Moser Team" in fifth grade? I totally rang up our reading teacher on Sunday. She was so nice! She was really interested in what I was up to and was really pleased that she was a memorable teacher (and that she didn't look at least too different since it's been about 9 years now). Sad thing... I don't remember her name at all! Oops. She was still cool though, back then, and now.
