David's friend Maureen, who sold me my washer/drier, was talking to David about the filter in the washer/drier. I guess checking if I had cleaned out the one in the machine she sold me (because that is the sort of riviting things David and I would talk about *sigh*). End result was that David, who knew nothing about such things, decided to check his filter. He proceeded to take it out to clean. All well and good. He then, later, decided to do a washing. He of course forgot to put the filter back in, and all the water poured out, onto his floor (kitchen and some of the livingroom). Problem being, he lives in a flat, and his neighbour downstairs was also flooded. It has, it seems got into the electrics, at least that is what the disabled mans carer thinks, so they haven't been able to use any of the electrical appliances, including the lighting. Just in case.
The flat is owned by the disabled man's cousin, who isn't very co-operative, and didn't phone any of the emergancy phone numbers, so they have both went to bed now.
End result David doesn't know how long it will take to sort this out tomorrow. He was supposed to come here at noon, as we were going to collect a few things, then go to Lake of Monteith, then onto the ferry to Inchmahome. Oh well, I can get the things delivered at no extra cost, and wait too see if we have time to go on our trip.
All because of a filter in the washer/drier. It's the little things that can be so essential.
Oh and, of course, David totally blames Maureen for the whole situation.
