The Fan!
I was feeling nostalgic, and went back to the first thing I ever wrote on LJ. It was very short, and I only wrote it to practice doing an lj-cut, but thought I would post it again, just cos! It was written on 11:25 am June 20th, 2005, so here it is. Did do a quick edit. My friend Ronnie liked it, if that is anything to go by!

Summary James gets a present at a convention!
The convention had gone well, now everyone was queuing up for the autographed photos. The desk and chair James was going to sign the photos was apart from the tape indicating where they were to stand.
The woman in front of the que had a large parcel, others looked at her curiously. They had been told if they had presents of James they could hand them over at the signing. The parcel looked so large some commented that perhaps someone had wrapped themselves up.
James sat down and they were ushered towards him. The woman smiled shyly and handed the large package to James.
"I hope you like it, could you write to Alison."
"Of course" James smiled, looking doubtfully at the parcel.
After the signing James retired to his room. His presents had been delivered, and were piled up on the floor. He eyed the large parcel, and noticed a card attached. He also noted that it was not breathing, a fanciful idea had passed his mind that someone may have wrapped themselves up to gain access to his room. He opened the card, 'Something to keep you warm at night as I can't'.
James opened the package, another note fell out as he looked at the beautiful heirloom quilt. "If you do not like it then auction it off for charity, or if it is too feminine, give it to your niece." James was keeping it, always good to have a warm bed.
