These are my Three for this week. Giles wanted to have a ficlet, but I managed to get him down to 100 words in the end!

Souls are like flowers, some are exotic Orchids while others are like damaging weeds, blighting everyone they touch. Angel considered his soul. Rootless, cursed, forced on him. It kept him from harming humans anymore, he no longer relished torturing and killing innocent prey, but at times it seemed to have no substance, it was a cut flower continuing to bloom in its vase. As he tracked down rats and other vermin, he had no purpose.

When Whistler came to him to give him a goal, he was delighted. He saw the girl as his salvation. It was not to be.

Giles came home to see the roses around his apartment. Jenny must have done this, the modern woman, with her love of computers and technology had a romantic streak. After everything they had been through already, she could forgive him so readily. He has thought that the modern American woman would never be so vulnerable to him, to show him her heart like this. As he read the note, his heart soared.

When he walked up-stairs and saw her body, knew that it was Angelus’ that has planned it all, he was filled with a cold rage. His hopes dashed.

When Joyce has been alive, her mother, who had been there since she was born, trying her best to look after her, the garden was filled with flowers. To sit and relax, with family, when she could of course, not much time for relaxing when you are the Slayer. Now as she buried the potentials body, she couldn’t even name them all, her garden was a graveyard. No more pretty flowers, just another area that was filled with death. For such is the legacy of the Slayer. Now it had invaded her home as well. She didn’t plant living seeds.

Hope you enjoy
