watched babel last night - most tragic and distressing film i've seen since dancer in the dark, probably. and am i a bad person that i was terrified yet glad that cate blanchett's character got shot? all i could think of during the time before that was "damn these people need to go on SST." how we are connected, how communication devolves. it hurt too much to cry.
