Trust me... I remember

September 11th 2001 was starting out as a normal day for me. wulfens_woes left for work, and I hopped in the shower and got my older son ready for school, he was in Kindergarten at the time ( time flies! ). I walked him to school said Hi to a few friends and decided to head back home. Fixed me some breakfast and cleaned up a bit, see, we had just moved to Dublin Ohio and still setting up our place and the phone company was coming that day to turn them on and make sure they were working right.

I remember walking down to the basement where the computer was at the time and played a couple games and hadn't bothered to turn the tv on yet or even open up the internet to see what had happened. I turned my msn messenger on and my friend Kristen from Australia messaged me with " Hey sis, are you ok? " usually with her it's Hi or whats up so I knew something was weird and she told me to turn the tv on. When the news came on was when the 2nd plane had hit and words can't describe how I felt and then I was worried about my husband and my son as well as our families.

wulfens_woes mom was the first to call that day and it was all I could do to act composed with her. wulfens_woes then called me and I proceeded to call my sister who was in Texas at the time as well as my Mom at work. It was hard not to watch tv that day and then to explain to a 5 year old what had happened, but he understood that some bad people just wanted to hurt us that day for no reason, atleast not a good one. So many factors led up to that day that you can't possibly point the finger at one person, no way and personally, the people that do make me sick. The best thing about that day aside from the flag being put over the Pentagon was the Senators all standing together singing God Bless America and it didn't matter what side they were on.

Growing up a Navy brat and being married to a former Airforce man I will always support our troops, they are doing the job they were signed up to do and to think otherwise is foolish. wulfens_woes has always reminded me if he could have reinlisted, he would have. Granted I would have been scared to death but I would have supported him 100%.
