The term was misleading, made what happened sound all romantic and shit, like there should be choirs of angels, bells ringing and doves singing, but he knew better.
He had the rhythmic creaking of the wooden door and its brass joints. Had her soft, sweet, high-pitched keening in his ear, tugging something fierce on his heartstrings. And for persussion, nothing beat the sticky, slapping cadence of their sweat-soaked bodies as they crashed into each other over and over.
He was no judge of music, but damn if it didn’t sound like a symphony to him every time they made love.
