Logan & Edward
In the last 5 days I've been devouring the books from the Twilight series and also in less than a month the Wolverine Origins movies will be released on theaters. Ok, why in the world I'm trying to post something about two fictional characters from two different worlds... but at the same time with similarities... One is a mutant, the other is a vampire...
Let's start with Logan, aka Wolverine.... Logan, a member of the X-Men, a mutant that has a healing factor that could make miracles, and an adamantium skeleton that makes it virtually unbreakable... Besides that he has senses like a wolf, he could smell and identify very easily scents, even those of shapeshifting mutants like Mystique...
Wolverine has also rages in which he could be lethal and could kill just by using his retractable adamantium claws....
His healing factor makes him virtually immortal although he could be killed, I supposed he must be dismembered or something like that... I guess the venom of a cobra or any other poisonous creature won't kill him, perhaps he would feel a lot of pain but at the end his healing factor will save him...
At the same time there's a good nature on him... he's very protective of those he loves, he's loyal and despite all the torture he has endured on Weapon X he tries to be good... He's willing to be the "good guy" for the woman he loves...Jean Grey... well in the X-Men movies, she's so stupid that choses dorkish Scott Summers... too bad for her, but that's topic for another post.... The point is that he could adjust to become somebody better... In the third X-Men movie he becomes the leader of X-Men and in the end he was the only one who could defeat the Phoenix, although it meant killing the woman he loved so much....
Now let's talk about Edward, he's a vampire, as lethal and dangerous as my beloved Wolverine, inmortal and has the ability of read minds... Besides that he's agile, fast and strong... He's a different kind of vampire, he feels he's a monster and fights constantly against his true nature.... When Bella Swan came to his life, he wanted her blood so much he reacted badly the first time she sat next to him in the biology class... He fought against his desire and the attraction he felt towards her but in the end he surrendered to being close to Bella despite his craving for her blood... In the end he saved her from become a vampire when James bit her... he was able to extract the venom without losing control... Like Logan, he tries to be a better person, well although Edward is a vampire but he really loves Bella and he doesn't want to see her hurt.
Logan & Edward, from different worlds but so similar, dangerous and lethal in their own ways but trying to be better...

Pretty ironic that these two characters have humanity that many people I've known through my life...
