Protein Packed Tuna Wrap

The results of a little experimentation.

Ingredients

1 5oz Can Tuna in Water
1/2 Cup Lean Cottage Cheese
2 Medium sized Flour Tortillas
Dried Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
Pepper (optional)

Makes Two Wraps

Directions

Add half cup of cottage cheese to can of drained tuna and stir thoroughly. Spread mixture thinly over two flour tortillas with a fork and add the desired spices. Tightly wrap the tortilla shells so that when cut the shell will form a spiral pattern. Cut to length desired and serve.

I tried this recipe with or without the spices and found that the red pepper, *my spice of choice,* counter acted much of the fishy flavor found in Tuna. If you enjoy this flavor you can forgo the spices or try your own spices of choice. As you noticed I put down that there were 440 calories in these wraps, this is because when I was going through the grocery store I grabbed white flour tortillas instead of whole wheat. The whole wheat tortillas can be far lower calorie and also have the benefit of being higher in fiber.

Over the next few weeks I'll be experimenting with variants of this recipe, next I'll probably try adding some spinach leaves between the wrap and the tuna.
