Goddamn I need to start updating more... Then again, perhaps not since all I update with are rants and complaints. Heh.
Anyway, life could be a lot better... But then again, it could always be a lot worse too. I'm paying 64-65 bucks a week for medical insurance for the two of us. It fucking sucks ass. But I'm sure you all know what I think of the current health care system, so I'll spare you from delving deeper into that subject.
Work sucks, as per usual. But really, I'm finding it hard to wake up in the morning, especially for a measly $8.80 an hour. This isn't horrible pay, but it is when you have bills to take care of, as well as yourself and a mate. As well as rent to pay [since my father-in-law only gives us about 500 for rent, so that's another 37.50 out of my pocket].
I'm going to try to study at home on PC repair and such and have a go at taking the A+ Certification Exam. Then perhaps I could find an entry level job or something that pays more. Perhaps then I wouldn't have to toss my money into a fire pit, also known as college. That would be great! Even if I were to be making a dollar more starting... That would be a life saver! Plus I'd be doing something remotely close to what I've been wanting to do for the past 2+ years. It seems the most feasible way, considering the plan for college is quite impossible right now, and I've already got enough debt to worry about [even if it is only 500 bucks worth].
People have suggested student loans and crap like that.. What they don't understand is that I fear debt, and it stresses me out to no end. It's especially scary that my sister is STILL paying off her debts and she graduated back when I was like 6 or 7, if not earlier. I'm sorry, but I'd like to keep my money if at all possible. It sucks having to pay just to get a higher education just so you can make more money just to repay the fucking debts you incur while getting said education. This world is just fucked up in general.
Despite the troubles, me and Shadow are doing good. We're still very happy with each other, and still enjoy each others near-constant company. We're proud parents of two kids of the fuzzy variety, as well as the aquatic variety. That has also been what's new with me as of late.
We had a female Red Wag Platy give birth, and she died in the process. But she left us with two babies, which, up until recently, have been growing like crazy. And then just the other night one of the Dalmation mollies gave birth to a single baby [we don't know which one]. However, the next morning, Shadow found that our roommate's cat crashed the hood of the aquarium into the water, shorting out the light, and dislodging the breeding net. This caused the babies to be released into the main tank. Unfortunately, one of the Red Wag babies didn't make it and was bent in half from the fixture landing on him. The other one was presumed dead as Shadow thought he had seen that one bent in half as well, but couldn't find the body. The newest one, the molly baby, was fine and put safely back into the breeding net. As for the other Red Wag baby, I found him alive and well when I was starting a water change.
It was a happy ending to an overall bad day. So now we're down to two babies instead of three. The Red Wag Platies that we have currently, both look pregnant, but could just be fat. And I know the two female mollies are pregnant [or soon will be] because my male molly didn't waste any time getting to them. Lol.
But we've named the fish [all but the female Wags and Mollies]. The golden dojo loach is named Cthulhu, the albino cory catfish we got from Sage and Marshall is Mr. Pink, the skunk cory is Bob, my male molly is Jet [because he's black with very little white on him]. I need to think of names for the females of the tank.
Oh, Shadow and I will also be moving into a house soon! Not our own house, but a rental, with a couple of awesome friends of ours [Largo and Erin]. I'm so happy. It'd be nice to be in a house again and not have to worry about being noisy, or neighbors waking you up/annoying you with their loud ass stomping and general clumsiness above you. I swear the people above us turn into were-rhinos, stomp around and knock shit over, at least that's what it fucking sounds like. And it's not constant... But it happens at such shit-tastic times that it's like WTF!!! KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF PEOPLE! And they had the audacity to give US a noise complaint?! For something that didn't even happen! [They claimed that two people were wrestling, and they heard a 'distinct male voice']. Really? Wouldn't you think, that if it were us making the noise, that our other neighbors next to us would also file a complaint? WTFever.
Anywho, that's my life right now. I omitted some shit to save your sanity. Heh.
