Well, this has been an interesting weekend

My memory shorted out on me sometime Friday night or Saturday morning and it has been very bizarre since then. I can remember find from waking up on Saturday morning at about 10am Before that I can remember tossing and turning and being hot in the bed. It's interesting because I very, very rarely sleep that late. Even when I go to bed late, I'll wake up at about 7 at the latest, doze for a while and normally stumble out of bed by around 8.

My memories of last week are garbled at best. I can't tell you with any certainty who was at work and who was on site last week. I know I left work around 4pm. I did some shopping, I bought some chicken, I can remember cooking the chicken and I can't tell you much more about Friday evening. Friday during the day I had to go to the printers to pick up a sign. It was a blue telephone logo on a white background. It was on the table behind the receptionist. I have no idea what the printing place was. I found it on Google maps and I would have said I've never been there.

I wandered around the house on Saturday. It was an odd feeling. There were doors, I knew the doors lead to the living room. I couldn't have told you what was it looked like. I've been taking my blood pressure fairly regularly. I found a note from Friday night (that I don't remember making) 131/76 "strange tingly head feeling" I think that may have been a clue.

Not surprisingly, I didn't like that, so I took myself down to emergency. It would have been the GP, but it was a Saturday, so the hospital got me instead. I was there for about five hours. They ran a huge batch of tests.

Only thing which showed up was my blood sugar was low, which wasn't surprising since I had not had anything to eat. They gave me a sandwich. I got a canular in my arm (kanular?) I'm not a fan. Their verdict was a seizure and a recommendation to see a neurologist. I was originally going to be driving down to Perth today, so I rescheduled things to fly down instead. They also recommended not swimming or driving. Hopefully I'll get a referral to see a neurologist from my GP tomorrow and I'll organise one of those. Then I'll go fishing.

I did realise yesterday that my doc has me taking antihistamines. I completely forgot about that when the hospital was asking what drugs I was on. Apparently one of the side effects of antihistamines can be memory loss, not sure if mine fall into that category, but confusion is in there. I do take them in the evening before bed because they did knock me out, so at the moment I think they were a contributing factor, but I'll still get a more expert opinion when I'm in Perth.

All in all, a very weird weekend.
