A year ago I was in South America, at this time I was somewhere up in the Bolivian highlands, probably trying to convince myself I was not that unfit and doing my best to blame the altitude (it was all in excess of 3.5km up). Thinking about such things has lead me to think about places yet to go, so I thought I'd make some notes.
Places to visit:
Petra, Jordan
Angkor Wat, Cambodia
Africa - Most of it :)
Greenland - Why not?
Iceland - If I'm going to Greenland...
Antarctica - Balance up the trips to the northern hemisphere.
Tiananmen Square - And the rest of Beijing
St Basil's - Got to visit somewhere called Basil as well as the rest of Moscow.
Mongolia
Nepal
Trips I'd like to take:
Transiberian Railway - Beijing to St Petersburg
Slow boat (Cargo ship?) across/through the Pacific
Drive across the US
There are a few other train trips - Blue Train, Southern route across the US, actually most long train trips.
Actually, I'd like to go most places. I hear Iran has some spectacular scenery and things to see. Strangely, no interest to visit India, but I'm guessing there is stuff I'd like there, I just don't know what it is yet.
