The fresh air hit me as I stepped outside of the building. It's been awhile since I've been outside and it felt good to see the sky again with out a frame of glass separating me from it. I took in a deep breath of air and exhaled it while looking around. Everything looked so different from the last time I saw it a few months ago. Being stuck inside working on my current projects left me with little time to enjoy the outside world.
This small break I was allowed to have made me appreciate nature more. I noticed the leaves started turning a different color as the air started to chill me. I was ushered to a car and frowned a little before getting in. I knew I wasn't allowed to enjoy being outside before being shoved into a small confined space and cut off, once again, from the outside world. They pushed me around and around, from place to place until we were back at the building we started off in.
"So much for my break..." I mumbled as I slowly walked back to the building, enjoying the outside air for the short amount of time I can before I am confined once again to my prison cell until I finish my work. Right before I stepped into the building, a butterfly landed on my shoulder and I smiled at it as it flew away. "At least I feel a little better being touched by the outside world," I thought.
