Oh hello
Shockingly, I am posting to livejournal. When the mood strikes, I guess.
I am a graduate student. And an undergraduate student. It's all a bit complicated, but assuming my boring research into predicting corn yields actually generates a thesis, I will have an MS in Artificial Intelligence sometime next summer, along with a BA in Cognitive Science and a BS in Computer Science.
I'm the music director at WUOG again. I'm enjoying it.
Kingsley and I have started watching The Wire, which is a mistake. Losing lots of time to it. Still in the first season. I also got the Gold Box set of Twin Peaks, but I'm still not sure if I'll ever watch the rest of season 2. I don't have much desire to.
2007 was a phenomenal year for movies. As far as new ones, I enjoyed There Will Be Blood, Ratatouille, No Country for Old Men, Knocked Up, Superbad, Before the Devil Knows Your Dead, King of Kong, Zodiac, Paprika. I missed Rescue Dawn and Eastern Promises. Non-new movies that I saw and dug include The Brood, Stray Dog, The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser, Aguirre: The Wrath of God, and probably lots of others I'm forgetting. I'm not sure why I'm making this list anyway.
I made an attempt at a list of albums from 2007 I liked here. I'm sure it omits many good things.
