So I'm sitting here contemplating the relative fairness of life, trying to figure out solutions to issues and where I stand on everything running through my head. Pretty deep for 1 in the morning hey! Ever had one of those weeks where you feel that you just can't keep up? :s
Well, may as well update regarding yesterday as I'm wide awake and everyone else in the house is snoring (even the kitty curled up next to me - ohhhh ain't she cuuute)...
To all of you out there that didn't think it was possible, I applied make-up to myself for the first time ever yesterday - and I didn't even end up looking like a drag queen - surprising considering I was applying it at 7am :p Had an all day meeting for a pretty big contract and hence needed to try to look my best... trust me, easier said than done during the am hours after 3-4 hours sleep. I think a brown-paper bag may have been an easier option, but hey - it's not quite as conventional as plastering your face with crud - how do women do that every day!?! Ended up having to raid Mum's old make-up supplies as I only found out Wednesday night that I was supposed to be attending - giving me all of 10 hours to prepare when all the shops were shut... hmmmm organisation - would be nice if it applied in any Engineering environment wouldn't it!
The Meeting/Presentation went well, especially considering we finished working on the slides and supplimentary materials at 11pm Wednesday night... YAY! All the stakeholders seemed happy with the result, and all my co-workers were just happy it was over... sleep deprevation is our friend - Wheeeeee... :p
Was thinking tonight, as I hit the proverbial brick-wall, that I could sleep in tomorrow...then checked my e-mail and remembered that I'm helping test out a VR environment at uni tomorrow :s It sounded like a great idea a week ago when I signed up, when I wasn't so damn tired... it's all good though, no doubt when I wake up tomorrow I'll be pumped and ready for it.
Oh, and on Wednesday I found out that my bike will go up to 190km/hr... that's it folks - any faster and you've got to get off and push! With the additional fitness I've found riding the bike easier and more controllable = more speed + more fun! That said I've found my next bike... it's sooooo damn sexy. Honda CBR600RR - 2005 model in blue (or 2007 model if they end up offering it in blue or silver)... there's a guy at uni who's got one, (although if he keeps leaving it where I can see it, he may not have it for much longer :p)
All my best to everyone out there - and to those of you that haven't posted for days, look at Mage's example - procrastinate peoples!! :p
