Since the last time I've posted:
--The Roc City Thunder suspended ops for the seasons after I had performed as a lion mascot for them at one game. It happened before a raffle was to take place that would have raised money for my pay.
--Katie's mom is still living with us. There were two blood clots discovered; one in her left leg and one in her lung. While she has made improvements via some help from visiting nurses, PTs, OTs and aides, we are still miles from where she needs to be. The search for housing and care for her continues.
--No success with the job hunt, especially while we're busy taking care of things here at home.
--My arthritis got worse, resulting in a med switch to a high dose of naproxen and an appointment with a rheumatologist. I've learned they are popular people, as proved in the fact that the earliest I could get an appointment with them is June 27th (I set the appointment in April).
--The Hawks made it to Playoffs which gave me two extra games. They won their championship on the road in Vancouver. There's been an increase in gigs for the bird, which is great for me. Gives me something to do. Did the Lilac Parade for the first time in years (and the first time as Thunder), and several birthday parties for kids. The team claims I will be a busy bird over the summer but I'm not 100% sure what they have planned. Nearly all of the time, I've planned the bulk of Thunder's gigs or he's been invited through his FB page.
--Lisa quit the Greywolves, mostly because of Kathy being controlling and "narcissistic". Lisa feels better for having cut ties with Kathy and this has left Kathy hanging at the Wolves, where she's been hired for game day ops type stuff. I've helped some but honestly, driving to Canandaigua is a pain in the ass for very little/no pay. Plus, my Thunder schedule kind of limits what I can do for the Wolves, and the fact that we're still helping Katie's mom out. No, I'm not really torn about this Wolves situation. It's not ranking highly on the worry list.
--WEC took some time off as Karin had a heart attack but over the last month, they've really gotten things moving. They have new folks on staff and our first book is so close to getting published now, complete with the guides and our DVD. Exciting
