[Cloud's breath catches slightly, just a little sound of surprise. When he speaks, his voice is somewhat low and hesitant]
I just...
[He's obviously looking for words]
I felt like that. A danger. It's just a risk everyone was willing to take. I guess... I guess it just came down to wills. Mine didn't go with his. Hn. Maybe.
I...like to think that I can be better than this. That I can beat this. That his will means nothing to mine. But I haven't gotten much of a chance to try it. Last time I saw him, he forced me to drink...something... and...
Recently, when you and him were at the president's office, I couldn't go there. I was so afraid that Sephiroth would use me against my own people. What kind of Director can I be when I'm the biggest liability?
When I lead AVALANCHE against him, I guess nobody cared. I was the biggest liability.
I guess... they all had the strength to stop it from happening.
The other Turks. They have that in you?
[Before this point, Cloud's voice has been hesitant and awkward, speaking about something he's not entirely sure about himself. Now, however, it seems slightly more urgent.]
... What did he force you to drink? Was it the same stuff that affected the kids?
[Giving him the same courtesy that Cloud is offering to her, she makes the next post in audio. There's a quiet sigh, labored and worried, and the barest hint of movement as she shifts uncomfortably.]
From the reports of what I've heard, yes. Dark. He made it out of water. I tried to fight but...but he snapped my wrist and just...overpowered me.
[There's a small, barely audible noise that might be "...shit."]
Look, I guess you just - I don't know. Keep on going? Don't lose anything or replace anything or let him manipulate you. Keep people around you.
... [he sighs] I can't really talk about any of this. I guess we're in the same boat. But... "there ain't no gettin' offa this train we're on", I guess.
[That didn't sound good, at least not to her, and it showed in the soft, less-than-pleased noise that spilled from her throat. There was another rustle of movement, then the quiet tapping of her fingers on the desk.]
But it's the people I'm worried about. I don't want to be a danger to them. I don't want to hurt them. I lo--care for them.
But he...[A little sigh, troubled, worried.]... he talks to me. And her, too. And sometimes, it's so hard to ignore.

Do you need anything? Food? Anything?

I'm pretty sure the Turks and Rufus have faith enough in you, so try and emulate that. Might be the best way to throw him off.
