This is what sleep deprivation does to you
I got this idea at like 3 in the morning, but then it kind of stuck with me, and the more I think about it the more awesome it gets.
I would pay so much to see a MCR The Nanny AU. Think about it! Gerard as Fran Fine -- he worked in a bridal shop with his boyfriend (Bert?) but then he got kicked out because possibly-Bert met... Quinn Allman? I dunno, not important. Gerard moves on to sell make-up (because he just wants the run of their fucking eyeshadows, man) so he tries to do his thing on Manhattan, but gets roped into nannying instead.
It's beautiful! Mikey as Fran's idiot friend, except now he's just Gee's crazy scenester little brother instead. And may I remind you of Fran's bleached mother with the crazy nails?
Now, I'm trying to figure out who Maxwell Sheffield should be -- I want it to be Frank, but the mere thought of it makes me break down in hysterical giggles, so Bob is probably better, as much as I would like my own OTP. On the other hand, Bob would be absolutely beautiful as Niles the grumpy butler.
The Panic! boys as the kids? Or... if Bob is Niles, maybe Spencer and his bitchface as CC? What does Ray do? IDEK, you guys, help me out here!
I just really want to see Gerard in some crazy outfit (and since he needs to be a good influence, he possibly even showers!) perched on the edge on Bob/Frank/whoever's desk, talking to him about the kids with huge, earnest eyes. Just think of the lessons he'd teach those kids! Homophobia is gay, children! You are not alone in feeling like an outsider! It's okay to be uncool! He'd be the best nanny ever, man, the kids would love him like crazy.
Ooh, and extra plus points to whoever manages to cram Brian into it.
