Marching band AU?

Dec 01, 2007 22:37

I was listening to the marching band version of 'Grand Theft Autumn' and was thinking that there really, really needs to be a marching band AU. Really.

For great victory! )

Ahahaha! :D

You know they would try to feed him all the time because he's just so skinny, the poor dear! And he would blink at them and nod while they shove food at him.

*DIES*

Yes. EXACTLY. They're all Mikeyway totally agrees with me! And they get into this huge fight and Mikey kind of sneaks out while the getting's good. (And they never realize!)

They're confused at first but then he gets offers from the moms to tutor some of the kids, and a couple of the mom's are all, "Would you like to tutor me, Mikeyway?" and he's horrified, because seriously, he's not Dustin Hoffman, right? (Gerard and Frank and the others stare in awe - and cracking up all over the place when he tells them one night after practice at the all-night diner where they have coffee and strategize or whatever.)

Gerard eventually gives in on the fake blood because drycleaning is expensive, and they can barely afford the facepaint Gerard wants.

I cried, no really, cried at the beauty that is Bob Bryar caving after taking a look at Tiny Tim's cousin. Cried.

This needs to be written like, yesterday. I can't express how much I approve of this.

Bob Bryar is not made of stone, okay? The kid totally has Bambi eyes. Bob would love to see the man who can stand up to those.

Ahaha. I'm maybe toying with it right now? I'm trying to find songs to fit the show theme, but am afraid it would end up being heavy on the Green Day.

"And God bless us, every one!" or something, right?

What, no Black Parade? Blasphemer. Write eeeeet. *tempts you*

Totally! Ray knows all of this, which is why he's gracious when Bob gives in. Ray had to look away when he brought Tiny Tim's cousin in for the killing blow, after all.

I would, I so would! But if MCR doesn't exist in this AU where would the music come from? *quandary* I'm trying to find a couple of FOB songs to use - it's how FOB even hears about the marching band in the first place because they're using their songs and that's just seriously cool - but can't choose! So many good songs to use!

...Or, you know, Ray and Gerard could get together with the others to come up with the theme for next year's field show that would be original and so very awesome and everyone would be amazed. And also Gerard would be so happy because of his dreams of the Zombie Apocalypse or somesuch.

MIKEYWAY. Homg. And what's awesome is that he's thinking about the Misfits, or Antarctica, or peanut butter sandwiches, and not listening to the moms or dads at all, because if he does he gets stressed, and he doesn't need that. But occasionally he smiles because peanut butter sandwiches are totally tasty, and the band parents totally think he likes their idea and are appeased.

Yes. LOVE THIS. Also: MONTAGES. I am maybe a sicko for sports movies, myself.

Exactly! Mikey's off in his own world and it's a wonderful place full of awesome music and tasty foods and vast stretches of frozen desert. But mostly tasty foods. Mmmm.

Montages are absolutely key in these scenarios. Oh, man. I love sports movies with an unholy passion even though I don't actually get sports myself.

Sports movies are the best. Someone overcomes adversity! Someone... else? overcomes adversity! And then there's adversity overcoming! Meanwhile, it is always okay that everyone else lost, because these guys had ADVERSITY.

Seriously, I love them. I automatically start tearing up at triumphant brass and blurry camera focus.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but the word montage is now inextricably linked with the Team America song.

That's the best description/summary of any sports movie made ever. Adversity brings everyone together in the end because they overcame it! A lot!

Oh my god. That song. It's like. Why don't more movies use it? It's perfect. The lyrics, man. They speak to me. XD

This is awesome! Dude, those inspirational sport movies are totes addicting.

Oh, I can just see the people in the pool plotting to make Gerard and Frank realize their true love! :DDD Also, if Mikey finds out about the pools, how does he react? Given his role as fund raiser extraordinaire, I could almost see him promising to keep quite as long as half the pool went to the band.

Hee. They so are!

There are shenanigans all over the place - they want their money! Also, it gets kind of old watching the two of them dancing around one another all the time.

Oooh, Yes. Of course! Mikey is all "HMMM. I am a (semi)responsible adult," and everyone's all sadface thinking he's going to get them in trouble, but he goes, "Whoever wins splits the take with the band fund, fifty-fifty. Also, put in me for twenty on the end of the season." (And/or the same with regards to splitting the winnings, but with him being all "I DON'T WANT TO KNOW, LEAVE ME OUT OF IT" when it comes to his brother and Frank hooking up. Because seriously. That's his brother. Ew.

:DDD If Gerard finds out and gets pissy about it, I bet Mikey would just be like, "You know that fabric you had to have that I found you the money for? You needed it right?" and Gerard would nod and then Mikey would finish, "Then don't complain."

LOL ♥!!

And Bob getting the puppy eyes from the Tiny Tim drummer, awww!

Also, Mikeyway, manager of interpersonal relations = funniest idea EVER.

Whyyyyyy does this not exist yet?!?

*g* Mikeyway is an awesome manager of interpersonal relations because everyone goes away happy!

...They think they are, anyway. Mikey totally smiled when they told him about their new idea. Sort of. ...Well, at any rate he's a sweet young man.

Ahaha. It's coming along? I mean. Um. YES.
