I can't find an explanation of this nonsense anywhere online
I really would love to find a Muslim who can reconcile this:
"In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful" (first line of every chapter in the Qur'an but one)
with this:
"When thou dost recite the Qur'an, We put, between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter, a veil invisible. And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur'an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth)." (17:45-6)
and this
"And to those who believe not in the Hereafter, (the Qur'an announceth) that We have prepared for them a Penalty Grievous" (17:10).
God causes some people to disbelieve and to be unable to understand the Qur'an and the Truth. God will punish them for being unbelievers. God is compassionate.
Does not fucking compute.
