Well, the roofers started ripping the shingles off the roof today. First stretch of semi-decent weather we've had in a long time. Temps never got much above freezing, if at all, but at least the sun was out and the rains are supposed to hold off for the next several days. This at least is being paid for by the insurance because the damage was caused by Hurricane Ike last fall.
The waterproofers who did the work on our house before we bought it came back to replace the sump pump that had a sticky valve. Now the pump is spraying water around the basement. Gee, that's an improvement.... Apparently the outflow pipe is blocked somewhere. Now we have to call them yet again to come out and check that. That should also be covered because we've been maintaining the $50/year service plan with them so that they'll come out and fix/repair anything that goes wrong with the system.
This crap is wearing on me though......
Still it's a long ways better than the craphole apartment we were living in before, and it is our house, and it is a beautiful house, with beautiful trees (that are blocking the sewer pipe, ugh, grr), filled with a wonderful family so you take it for what it is. ;)
