It's obvious he's still stuck on his not-so-ex-girlfriend.  And I have no chance as long as she's in the back of his mind, he won't/can't care about me any more than he still cares about her.

I'm not going to settle for second best.  I'll be his friend and I'm sure I'll still be deeply attracted to him, but I'm not going to do anything about it because it's a waste of time.
