So Susan and I went down to DRL today to see Carole Henry, the woman I wrote the letter to appealing my housing situation, expecting to get completely dismissed. We waited around there talking to a friend of mine, until we finally got up the balls to ask for her. The woman there was like, "Um, let me see if her assistant's in," and asked for our names. We waited for a while, still not expecting anything, when this petite woman wearing a sweatshirt comes over and is like, "Hi, I'm Carole Henry." So Susan and I were completely floored, and then she was like, "Yeah, we can make an exception for you about housing." Yes, that's right people...
I HAVE HOUSING!!!!!!
I still can't believe it. I'm so amazed! They also are letting me hand in my housing deposit on Monday, so I got to bypass the huge line at the Bursar's office. Woo hoo! I feel beyond special! Susan and I have defeated the system!! Anyway, I just had to shout out the good news. Now I'm off to the UConn Battle of the Bands to cheer on When Hope Dies!! Good times.
