So this trip, it's called Courtney and Laura Take North America. It's a cross country road trip that starts on August 9, 2008 and ends on September 2, 2008. Yes, that's awesome! In fact, I've been contemplating something similar for several months now. It'd be in 2009 most likely, and the overriding criteria would be that I set foot in all 48 continental states during the trip. Yours is 31 states, but comes reeeallly close to a few others (Vermont, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Florida).



If you're serious about this, I would highly recommend looking into CouchSurfing. This site lets you find people in the areas where you're traveling who are visitor-friendly and will let you crash at their place instead of getting a hotel room. It could save you several hundred dollars or more if utilized to its full extent. (And your route goes right through my area. If I have my own place by then, I might be able to help out!)

That map lies! I totally go through Delaware to get home, though probably not PA. So I guess it evens out.

All 48 states would be cool, but I'm not really interested in New England since I've been to all of them and can get to any one of them in less than 2 hours. :-P
