Roleplay meets is looking for new members!
Welcome to Roleplay Meets!- Now introducing RP-M Discord!
First, come changes that need addressing...
-We, the staff of RPM, have all voted to carry alot of RPM over into a new Discord version. This will be our primary focus for awhile, though our Skype will remain open and active as well.
-With either chosen medium, we now have a Gdocs catalog that many roleplayers from our group have filled out. A more streamlined list of available roleplayers, their interests, and who they would like to RP with.
For those of you not familiar, Roleplay Meets is a Skype and Discord based roleplay group with a dedicated owner and admin staff intended on increasing connectivity between roleplayers within the medium. New and returning members can take advantage of the extensive updates that have lead to substantial growth and opportunities to interact with our community in new and exciting ways.
A little under a year Roleplay Meets has gone from only a handful of consistent members up to around 110-120 users just in our main chat. With the influx of new members many things were changed or shifted to accommodate for the volume of new users. These changes include a better staffed admin team, new chats to join-including our NSFW chat-and a brand new Art commission corner that is currently in the works.
Our rules are mostly common sense and relatively easy to follow, but when the need arises there is almost always an admin online to help introduce new members and direct them to another chat or answer any questions. Harassment is almost nonexistent here and we aim to keep it as welcoming to newcomers as possible. Before the link, please read these few points if you have never been in a part of RP-M before or are returning after some time.
_For Skype_
-Admins are now clearly marked with an [a] in front of their usernames.
-Please come to an admin with any complaints and we will handle them. We tend to attract insomniacs; I guarantee someone will be up.
-Older/Direct links should not be used. The new and updated link brings you directly to the rules so that nobody joins without knowing them.
-The chat is now 18+ and mature content will pop up from time to time. Please understand that complete censorship of over a hundred people would be nearly impossible. If one member says something that bothers you it is best to ignore it or, if it is a situation that starts to border on harassment, bring it to the attention of an admin in private.
_For Discord_
-Discord Admins are easily seen from the current users sidebar
-Most, if not all chats have carried over into the Discord version.
-Discord is much easier on computers than the Skype app, it was designed for minimum CPU usage, and if you are a gamer or have a low end internet connection, it would be much easier for you.
-Through either discord or Skype, roleplay can be found for either medium.
-Discord, unlike skype, allows our admins many more tools to better the experience of RPM- and much better security against trolls and other malicious individuals. We have always intended RPM to be a safe haven for roleplayers, and we definitely intend to do whatever possible to keep working towards that goal.
