A Note

I've taken to watching House, MD, in recent weeks.

It's fantastic.

I may actually buy it.

The plot, characters, movement, everything - does not get stagnant, does not lose its touch, doesn't have weak seasons. Every single word that comes out of the main character's mouth is pure gold.

o_o Hugh Laurie is God.

That is all.

As procedurals go, it's pretty brilliant, but I could never get past the fact that...well, it's a procedural, and therefore fundamentally the same show every time.

And you never got the feeling that all the other characters were only interesting in how they related to House?

Kumquat to the first paragraph. There's virtually no long-term character or plot development, and as much as I enjoyed the series at first, the writers of the show seem to utterly refuse that House undergo any sort of character development (they tease you with the possibility, then throw it away. More than once). Sort of reminds me of trying to make a short story into a novel.

Why was that not appropriate for minors?

I've started watching too. Ben told me about it a couple years back and I never got around to it. I can only catch a few episodes at a time and I don't think USA plays them in any type of order.
