Update
Ok, well someone told me that I needed to update a bit more since I don't actually get to see people anymore so here goes...
Work is stressful as hell right now and I don't see it getting any better in the next few days. As most of you know I work full-time security at the RBC Center, where we are hosting the Stanley Cup playoffs. During all of the hockey games I am assigned to work in the Security Control room where we monitor the security cameras. While the Buffalo Sabres were in town I was worked to death trying to dispatch police to all the fights going on. Of course things have eased up some but it is still stressful having to sit in the same chair for 8 hours straight watching several monitors at the same time.
I also have recently started an internship at the NCDOT security office in an attempt to get a full-time job there in a few weeks/months. My first day on the job they introduced me to reviewing footage, in other words when something goes wrong we look at the video playback on the computer to get evidence for the police. This was rather interesting because they were watching footage of a housekeeping staff member wank off to porn on one of the computers at a DMV office in Charlotte. Two days later I helped set up a spy camera to catch employees stealing from an office building in Raleigh. This is turning out to be much more interesting than I thought it would be.
So there you have it, I do the internship Mon-Fri 9am-3pm, RBC Center Security Mon-Fri 4pm-Midnight, IMAX Projectionist Sat 5pm-Midnight and Sun Noon-Midnight as well as working on my degree through a new online program with Portland State University. In the future I will be using this as a journal of sorts for my degree requirements including my security work at the RBC Center and my NCDOT internship.
