Been having a lot of slip ups lately, when it comes to priorities and leading a healthful life.
But, as always, I try to look back and guage if I am doing better than I was a year ago.
And I am (well in the health-aspects anyway)!
I can run farther, I can run faster, I am stronger. I go hiking more, I try new things (snowboarding, xc skiing, etc), and most of my "fun" activities are something active and something that gets my heart going or is challenging. Not a whole lot of movies or just hanging around anymore. Even when I help Lin with her daughter, I am getting a workout (ahaha props to everyone out there with a 2 year old!)
Now, my goal is to keep up my progress (because I am not where I want to be) AND to get where I want to be in my academic/career life. Need a good balance of mind and body here! :D My dissertation proposal will get done in the next couple of months and then I will move steadily on with research, yikes!
