Nightime ramblings.

My DSL highspeed connection has slowly been turning into a ploddy little better than dialup and not as reliable connection. So I broke down and called sympatico tech support this morning, which I'd resisted doing because in the past all that has done has been to raise my frustration to near homicidal levels. But this time I was only on hold for maybe five minutes, if that, the tech I got was polite, knew his stuff, and didn't treat me like an idiot. And, best of all, he managed to narrow down what was causing the problem to a splitter I had on the line that was slowly dying. And in less than ten minutes. So after no more than 15 minutes on the phone I was off and once again have a highspeed connection that's acting like a highspeed connection.

*hugs her DSL speed* I've missed you!

So last night's SPN ep....

Indepth thinky thoughts hopefully will follow later but for now I just have to squee over the fact, that not only was the song that we pulled the title of the Heart's Desire story we're currently posting featured in last night's ep, but Dean sang it! And he not only sang part of the song, he sang the line we're using as a title! I take great delight in this fact even if no one else does. :)

I hope to do a Nano filtered post sometime this weekend with a little of the ideas I have for the SPN fic I hope to write. All those who have asked have been added to it. If you want to be added to the filter to see what I manage to do for this, just comment and I'll add you. :)

A number of people on my flist have been pimping Friday Night Lights so I decided I'd watch an ep and see what it was like. Yeah. The best I can say about it is that the actress who played Jessica on SPN is really really tall. I don't know; maybe it's a cultural thing. I just don't get the whole OMG football is the most important thing ever! I spent a good deal of the ep wanting to smack people and tell them it's just a game. Being played by teenagers. So, no, not really the show for me.
