Things to be done while/when it's cool enough - Ultimate aim being to get as many things done as possible.
Bathroom
- Clean bath, sink, floor [after vacuuming it]
Floors
- Vacuum all and then find a spot for the new vacuum cleaner to live.
-3rd EDIT- I loathe vacuuming as a rule and, with the heat of the day, just did the middles today. I lurve my new vacuum! My [nearly] waist length hair is a lot for the best of them but this one clean up so much that I had to empty the barrel twice! The floors still aren't perfect but they are heaps better than they were when I started.
Kitchen
- Burn off the newness of my new benchtop grill/oven [a 15 min task according to the brochure]
- Scrub [again] the grease from the sink [thanks housemate/landlord]
- Unpack the smaller pieces of ovenware [now that I have an oven again]
- Work around the chaos my landlord left when he went to Syd and clean out some cannisters
-2nd EDIT- 27 flung the old contents of food containers/cannisters in my food cupboard. Got out parts of my new blender that need their 'first' wash and have them and the containers neatly stacked and ready to wash once the sink has been cleaned. Taking it gently during the heat of the day.
Laundry
- Once the day is old enough that the sun AND the neighbours are up, start the first load of washing - weekly bedlinen etc.
- Follow up with ordinary weekly wash
- Decide if I want to risk another dust demon in my lungs and wash the curtain that can be washed and hang the velvet drapes out in the fresh air - on second thoughts, do that on another day, don't want the dust on the fresh laundry! [see tomorrow's list]
-EDIT- Got up later than I wanted but managed to combine two loads into one and the breeze combined with a summer sun should have them dry in no time at all. Sinuses are adamant that the curtains can wait until for another day. At least I've de-jewelleried the velvet curtains so all they'll need is taking outside to air-wash. -LATER- Everything's in and away [after being de-fluffed while I watched a documentary]
