What I've been doing

I have been sort of 'constructive off and on' in recent weeks though. Most of the books, all of the music CDs, some software and some of my games have been entered into my catalogue - almost 1000 items at this time [counting sets as single items]. I've also gotten a start on some of my DVDs and VHS tapes. The discovery that this particular program doesn't list the authors when you convert it to a text file is a bother though. It means I'll either have to enter all the info for my fiction [when I get to that part] twice or I'll really have to see if I can get my powerbook fixed so that I can read, update and print my book list that is already on it on it.

I've managed to get my mobile phone and my 'puter to talk to each other finally but I seem to have lost some drivers for my sound card - according to some programs I've tried to run. I have scored a nice new desk and chair for my 'puter though - through my Sydney friend who no longer needed them. Am converting my old desk into a sewing desk and have relegated the director's chair I was using back to storage.

PT got himself a new espresso maker the other day. cappuccinos at home - yah! Just have to get him in to the habit of remembering to clean the steamer properly. [This is take two of this line - big bang up the street signified split second power loss - don't cha just hate that!] Right near the end of a game and all :(

Had nice cuddle session on the back stoop with Burt this morning where he proceeded to demonstrate that it was indeed now spring by turning my black clothing white at an even greater speed than was normal. Mayhap that was why he was being just a little more affectionate than usual. After some length of time however, he indicated that he wished to be let into the house, a rare enough event that I granted his wish. He made a quick inspection, scritched some more on my chest as I lay on my bed to watch him and then decided to proceed with a much more detailed perusal of my quarters. My doorstop received a tacit approval I think, after a quick play. It resembles a semi-flattened mouse and has a string for a tail which seemed to amuse Burt but I feel he would have graded it much higher if it had been a real mouser [what with him being a mouser and all]. There are some things I'm afraid I won't do to curry a cat's favour, no matter how lovable they be.

D'OH - it's Sunday! That means I forgot to warch Dr Who again last night! Blast, dash, drat, fnord!
