hmmm.
i just did something that some people would call a little crazy. i grabbed my dog by the jaw, parted his lips and smelled his breath. Amazing thing is he didn't try to either lick or nip my nose. ;)
I changed his food a week ago from Wellness to Nutro Natural Dental Formula. Wellness is a good food BUT it made his breath and poo smell to high heaven. Plus when he did go potty it was very loose, soft and came in rather large amounts for such a smallish dog. (to me he is smallish)
anyway, so i smelled his breath. i wouldn't call it minty fresh but it didn't smell as bad as it did before. *sniffs again and gets her nose licked* okay that time he got me. But his breath still smells rather neutral really.
As for his poo, it's less soft and runny than before. Plus there's not as much of it. He's still getting a lot of fresh water every day (i add more water every time we come back from a walk) and today he got ice cubes because it's so damn warm out.
Plus did i mention he seems to like the Nutro better than he did the wellness? That in and of itself makes me happy. :D
But now i need to take him out for his last potty break. good night everyone.
