A few hours have passed since I began reading at midnight. I was hoping I'd get sleepy, but as I started yawning, the book started getting interesting. Ten minutes ago, my mom got up and started passing through the hallway. All of a sudden she started crying out for help saying there was something wrong. She described it to us as hot and cold flashes... only much stronger. We got her in the car and I gave her a hug and told her everything would be alright. My dad is rushing her to the hospital as I type this. I feel I should be doing something else to help out.
I'm hopeful that this won't be a regularity with her. She came in around two in the morning from the bar (In other words, she was drinking). I'm fairly sure diabetics aren't supposed to endulge in alcoholic beverages. It's supposed to lower the blood sugar even more. Never-the-less, it is an eye-opener.
