2011 Wishlist
This is my second year posting a Wishlist. I realize that this one is even more "me, me, me" than last year's was. But this is everything that came to mind when I was coming up with this. I am hoping to be able to fill the wishes of others this year.
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
-Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. Art for any of my fics would make me ecstatic. Especially my Sam/Gabriel Beauty and the Beast AU Out of Wilting Petals, Love Blooms
2. Fanfiction. Anything pertaining to my interests (Supernatural/RPS: any Sam or Jared slash pairings // Smallville: Clex, Chlark // New Girl: Nick/Jess)
3. Any Goosebumps books. My niece has just started getting into them and I only own one. She's been borrowing from the library, but I know she wants more that she can keep.
4. Christmas cards/care packages/anything handwritten. Fanfic or some of your favorite quotes or anything. It would be nice to get something in the mail that isn't junk.
5. Wallpapers of any characters/pairings I like. I love to have something nice for the background of my desktop and it always makes me smile when it's something made just for me. Supernatural: Sam Winchester, Gabriel/The Trickster, but anything/anyone else would be love just as much. Smallville: Clex or just Clark or Lex would be cool
6. Icon space (or paid time) for my LJ would be amazing. I keep switching my icons out because I want to be able to have relevant ones when I comment on fic and stuff. lol
7. Any Supernatural magazine issues you might have lying around and don't look at anymore. I'd been a subscriber when it was new, but when I went to renew, they never got my money or something and I haven't been able to afford to subscribe again since. And all the ones I did have got destroyed when all my stuff was moved to the garage when I had to move out of my room so my sister could have it. *le sigh*
8. Anything from my Amazon Wishlist. Used is more than alright if you do decide to give it a look. :)
9. Some positive thoughts for a better year sent my family's way. It seems like there's always something happening here recently. Just, yeah. Positive thoughts would be really lovely. @_@
10. Give your pets a hug/some lovins! They're there to be spoiled, so spoil them a little!
