So here I am on my way into medical, though my destination wasn't really important. I see on the parkinglot by the curb a dieing butterfly. I know it's dieing because it's trying to fly but it's too weak, just keeps flapping its wings and not really doing anything but hopping. I watch it for a second, its a very beautiful butterfly. I look up and see how hot it is today and realize that the asphalt where the butterfly is must be even hotter. I bend down and after about a minute of struggleing, succeed in gently cupping the butterfly in my hands and carrying him up the side walk to the grass beside some bushes where I lay him down. He is still fluttering around and jumping. I see some flowers on a tree next to the bushes so I reach up and pull off a tiny branch of them and lay them down next to the butterfly. At first he hopped away, but I moved the branch closer and the butterfly just stopped hopping and sat on the ground opening and closeing it's wings. With that I turned on my heels and went back to my errands. It was the high point of my day.
