What if you're going to college and they don't allow pets in the dorm and your mom is notorious for killing finches with bad care?

I already know the answer ^-^ Take the cage into the backyard and set them free! ^-^ It will take them three weeks to develop the muscles to fly over the fence and out of the yard, but they will be happy, happy birds!

BTW, I took the birds from my mom because they kept dying from her keeping a whole bunch of them in a tiny cage so it wasn't like I got some 'throwaway' pets that I would keep only until I went to college. They had a better chance with me if only it would be a year or two. And I didn't give them back to her. I found a different home for them.
