Master and I discovered, yesterday morning, that we now have
LOGO on DirecTv........we watched it almost all day yesterday!
For the first time ever, Gay America has a home on television where we can go to see ourselves. On LOGO you will see more than 200 lesbian and gay films, an ongoing documentary series, newscasts tailored for a gay and lesbian audience and quality original shows and specials. Programming that reflects our lives. Programming that tells our stories.
LOGO is the newest channel from MTV Networks, the force behind channels like VH1, MTV, TV Land and SpikeTV. LOGO is entertainment programming for lesbians and gays and just about anyone who enjoys a gay point of view. LOGO is for us, our friends and our family. LOGO is originals. LOGO is movies. LOGO is documentaries. LOGO is news. LOGO is specials. LOGO is the channel for Gay America. Finally.
We are currently in production on some really great series, documentaries and specials. We are laughing and crying with Scott Thompson through the beautiful love stories and the party planning fiascos of My Fabulous Gay Wedding. We are captivated by scripts for Noah's Arc, a comedy about a group of African-American gay men living in Santa Monica. We are also hanging out with lesbians who surf and some brilliant comedians on a mission.
We are awed by the true diversity of our images as our documentary series Momentum tells the stories of gay rugby players, transgender actresses, and teens with same-sex parents. And we're gearing up for the first-ever telecast of The 16th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
LOGO will also be teaming up with CBS News to cover LGBT stories and headlines in a professional and authentic voice. And we've amassed the definitive library of lesbian and gay films - over 200 titles in all. These are the critically acclaimed movies from brilliant directors and producers that tell our stories.
I can't tell you how much Master and I enjoyed this second day of programming on LOGO. There are going to have some good things coming up and you can get a daily listing of their shows
here.
Master and I did not go fishing yesterday - we stayed home and juggled the boxes around so that her Mom will have room when she comes to stay on July 19th. We sat around and watched LOGO most of the day yesterday. I say a few lesbian movies that I have not seen before - one was
Heavenly Creatures. Quite a good movie that I'd reccomend to anyone.
Today we do some cooking for your functions the next two days and we'll be headed out to a party tonight and an early brunch tomorrow morning. Can't wait! It's going to be an exciting couple of days. Just call us social butterflies!
So how has your weekend been so far?
