Ok- 'net savvy ppl out there.......

Aren't dot org domains reserved for non-profits and such? Can a pay site have the dot org extension?

Inquiring minds want to know.........thanks!

Well, that's how they were originally intended, yes. But for about 5 years, I had a dot org domain and used it for email and had a small porn site on it, so there's no hard fast rule there, as would be for a dot gov domain, that's about the only one that's really regulated, methinks.

Don't even think dot cc, or dot infos are regulated as closely as dot govs.

So you can have a dot org for just about any (legal) thing.

dot org are suppose to be for non-profits but really they are for any type of "organization."
