My inevitable return to the land of LJ...
raiken may have something to do with that...
My absense can be attributed to a great many things, hehe. If i go into it all the system might crash. So erm. No explanations. Bahaha!
Recently i've been faced with a choice. And, well, it's a choice you can't change easily once made. Yes folks, the time for a cellphone upgrade was upon me. Well, to be honest, it wasn't mine, it was my mom's. She has an expensive costract, usually dispensing two midrange phones or one top end cellphone.
A little history: Wuff is a Samsung fanboy, i've always been. So, back in 2005 i got a Samsung D600, like this:
Samsung D600 (D608 in the US)
I had this phone for 19 months, not SO much as a problem. Perfect reception, brilliant camera. I've taken 2000+ photo's with it. But faced with the possibility of a new phone... Hey, i'm only a fur. So, my mom got these two phones:
Sony Ericsson W710i
Nokia 6234
My mom likes Sony Ericsson (Who can blame her? They rock) and i... i decided.. "Well, everyone says Nokia is great. Come on, give it a try."
The 6234 has a decent spec sheet, plus 3G (EVDO, or UMTS, whatever.) It's similar to my D600. So, i got it, and gave my D600 away. At first i was impressed. The organiser on the Nokia is top notch. And with my tiny capacity to remember things, it worked great. Then... erf. Reception is a joke. No one can hear me, i can't hear them. GPRS setup is a fawking nightmare, packet data keeps closing connections on me... Vodafone... don't get me started on that nonsense. *facepalms* The camera is a DISGRACE. Basically, it was driving me up the walls after only two months. I had enough. I sold it... And in a stroke of luck i saw this for R1299 ($180):
LG L600V
I am not very fond of LG phones, and it has Vodafone too, but not having a phone... and getting this at a good price, I took the plunge. It's similar to the Nokia, except for a lower resolution camera and screen. I've been using it for 2 weeks now. UNLIKE the Nokia it works. It just works so darn well. The camera is decent. The reception is once again, crytal clear. I'll miss the organiser tho :/ So if i forget to write my finals, it's the phone's fault. Hehe...
I'll be sticking to Korean and Japanse phones from now on, thank you very much.
Oh and, American Raccoons are alright, too. I'll be sticking to one one in particular.
