a pleasant surprise
So I'm busy at work today taking calls and all that jazz when when of the supervisors comes over to the desk I'm at and says that she needs to talk to me. Immediatly alarms go off in my head, because anytime I'm told that "do you have a second, we need to talk" it's always been a bad thing. I'm now worried because I've only been here working the floor for two weeks, and all I can think is that for some reason they're going to let me go.
So, I say sure thing, and follow her into the training room, where she asks me to shut the door. Now I feel like I'm having trouble breathing because I'm positive I'm about to loose my new job. And the crazy thing is, I'm still a seasonal employee just trying to get hired on. I'm called a CSR1 in training, and if my work is good enough then I get hired and become a full CSR1.
Well, I sit down after shutting the door, and she looks me in the eye and says, "We want to offer you the CRS3 position." And I almost pass out. This basically means I get hired on, and get a big raise, while skipping two levels of customer service rep. Apparently my history with the company, and the fact that my work stats are crazy caused them to look at my application for the position. I had put in the app. because my trainer had said the position had come open, and it wouldn't hurt to at least show interest. Well someone is looking out for me, and I start the new position in two weeks. From here, the only place to go is lead, and then management, so yeah, I'm kinda happy right now.
