Wow it has been awhile sinceI posted here but going by my friends page it has been a while since ANYONE posted here. Oh the great facebook migration...Or tumbler....or blogspot...is ANYONE out there anymore?
The Last time I posted (seriously) was in August and it was about work. Well it is April and it will ALSO be about work. But at least this one is happy.
I have a new job, I have had it for a while and I am REALLY glad to be here. My official title is "Administrative assistant to the production manage". I am a cross between a personal assistant and a receptionist. I have a salary and I think I will qualify for benefits soon. It is kind of funny how much having this job. I am not longer scared every time my phone rings, I feel like my boss appreciates me and while I am still not sure what I want to do with myself, I feel like this is a good step in any direction. I have better hours (I still get up early but not a big deal) and feel good all around.
The back story: After a year and half at the gym I was just feeling burnt out and I had started to have some...I would call then personality things with my boss. I was working so many hours and still not making enough to support myself and the fact that it was dawning on me that I would be aging out of OmabaCare-You-Can-Stay-On-Mom's-Insurance-Until-You-Are-**-Years-Old soon was staring me in the face. So right around November I started looking for a new job. Have no clue what i want to do for the rest of my life I decided to look for anything that was Full-time, with benefits, and payed enough hourly or salary wise that I would be able to move out of my parents house either with roommates or in with the boyfriend. I thought that it would take me a while to find a job give what the economy is and the horror stories that had been preventing me. Well..Long story short (Partially because I just don't remember most of it) I was offered this job before Thanksgiving!!! Yes! I found a new awesome job is only 2 weeks! I guess it was meant to be or the cards were in my favor or something because this was awesome. It took me 10 minutes in the 2nd interview to realize they were offering me the job! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! So i gave my 2 weeks notice, and have been working at my new job for about 4 or 5 months now.
The other major change for me is about a month old, I am now living with the Frenchman. Yep! We have rented an apartment together and are now very happily cohabitating. I thought it would be a much bigger deal then it is but everything just feels...normal. We got alot of furniture from my sister (AWESOME) and that helped get the place together much faster.
I went to New Orleans for my birthday and had the best time there. I could not have asked for a better adventure for my birthday and I got to perform with some people down there!! :-D
So that is the update. I may start posting here a little more. Or someplace else if I get told where the cool kids are.
