Things that Piss me off Part II
Dear Actors of the world and everyone who even thinks they might possible maybe be an actor,
Learn how to behave in rehearsals. I get we want to have fun but if the director sends an email with specific instructions on what must be done on what must be done, DO IT WHETHER SHE IS THERE OR NOT. Shut the fuck up when people are running lines or anything.
Second, Learn the following definitions:
Speed through: You say lines with out character or emotion. You say it fast as you can. This is also called an Italian. If you know them well then say them with character and emotion but the point is to get your lines in your head and mouth.
Line: You call this word when you don't know your line. USE IT! Don't fuck around, say "shit" "fuck" or anything else. Stay in character and do it in character and do it fast. TRUST ME ON THIS!!! IT WILL MAKE THINGS RUN SMOOTHER.
Third: Please take this shit seriously! To a lot of us this is serious. Honestly being a clown during this is the same as someone coming into your finals and screaming and talking on a cell phone. Remember that please.
OK, Personal moment: I am having a hard time keeping my head at rehearsals, Acting class, Children's Hour, anything. I don't know what to do but I need to find a solution. I am trying to knit out my frustration but it is not working. Help? and please don't say talk to them because I need something to help me suck it up and bare it.
OK, I guess that is it. I should sleep.
