There are people in this world who are born interesting. I am reading a book about one of them now. My summer reading for USF is Three Cups of Tea and the author went to areas in Pakistan and built schools. Very interesting man. But in a way, he was destined to be interesting; he was born in Minnesota, raised in Tanganyika, and traveled all over the world with the army. There is no way he could not have been interesting. Then I look at my dad: he was born in Connecticut and led a very normal life. When he was 13 he went to Europe with the boy scouts of America and saw Europe after WWII, he also stole a gondola while he was there. My dad did take his first real adventure until he knew my mom and that was in the 1970s I think. He wasn’t born interesting. He could have lived a normal life but he made a choice not to. He CHOSE to lead the life he does and made it work. I donno. I guess I just wanted to point that out…
