I just replaced the master cylinder in my truck...a new experience. I have never had to bench bleed a master cylinder before, and it was pretty cool. All and all, it was a very easy repair...pop off the old one, bench bleed the new one, slap it on, then bleed the rest of the brakes and you are done. It seems to have solved the problems I was having...all of the brakes are releasing now, and the warning light is off. The real test will come with time...hopefully my gas mileage will return to normal. I am going to replace the brake shoes on the rear axle before too much longer, but they will be fine for now. I also want to replace the spark plugs, wires, and the distributor cap and rotor, but I have to get some more money before I can afford the parts. Good times...now I am off to run 5 miles...the joys of training
