training, training, training

My training is going better than I had hoped for. I was a little worried about my timed 500m swim time, so I have really been pushing cardio and endurance. It has paid off more than I could have ever expected. I did a timed swim after my class (and it was a damn tiring class too), and my time was 7:51...not bad at all for a tired swim. I did my normal 10 50m sprints with 30 seconds in between after that and then a nice warm down...didn't want to be too tired for the drive home.
Today I did some running...my relaxed pace mile is down to 7:21...not bad at all either. I ran 4 miles in 30:11...a nice, slow, relaxed jaunt. after that I did a mile walking to cool down and stretched. I am going to have nothing to worry about as far a physical demands go....it really puts my mind at ease.
I really can't wait to get back on my surfboard...but I think I am going to have to invest in a new wetsuit. the water here is 59 degrees, and it is about 57 where I am headed...brrrr....can you say brain freeze? What I have will be just fine when it gets up to 65, and it will be fine for kayaking now, but I really don't feel like freezing my ass off any more than I have to.
all that I have left to do is get a physical, and I am on my way...goodbye florida
