Fun times a-coming

So I'm posting this from my Uncle's MAC, so there won't be anything fancy like formatting or links or lj cuts or... anything. I hate using this freaking computer, the keyboard is sticky and it is difficult to do the most simple things.

I found parking for 85 bucks a month on Church St, just down the road from Jenn's place, which is good, though expensive. It's indoor parking, which is very important. No more frozen cars.

Work is work, it's almost like I never left except for a few small changes. My boss has failed at hiring other employees - one she hired just after I left, but let her go because "she wasnt' working out" (translate as Lyndsay didn't get along with her, and she has my boss by the ear) then hired someone else who only showed up for one shift. As of the first week of september, there will only be two of us working there - myself and our tech, Robin. And we have discussed it with eachother and agreed that if Cheryl expects us to do 12 hour days 5 days a week plus 6 hours on Saturday just because she procrastinated too long about hiring and training new people to replace Cheryl Richardson who quit IN MARCH and Shauna who announced months ago that she is going to vet tech school this September... well, she has another think coming. One or two full day shifts during the week might be endurable, but we are NOT going to work 70 hours a week for who knows how many weeks. We will expect raises, if nothing else. On the one hand, I could really use the money, but a) I don't know how long I could last on that schedule and b) this is the month that Benn is going to be in town for the Halifax Fringe Festival and I'd like to actually SEE him occasionally and c) I'll be trying to move/settle in to my new place with Jenn, and would actually like to be able to establish a routine.

So she had better hire someone - at least 2 someones - fast.
