I am going to Sackville, Sackville, Sackville. I am going to Sackville, to see Drew's play. Hurrah!
Of course I can't really afford it. I have 20 dollars less right now than I am supposed to have when my pay check comes in on the 15th. And I will have a lot less after this trip. But some things are worth it. I'm so excited.
Also annoyed though. Because this weekend, I just accepted a place with the tw 30 year olds who asked me to room with them in Ridgetown. I put them off for a while and advertised on the discussion board, hoping to find someone who was not eighteen, but also not an 'old lady'. Not that being 30 makes them no fun, but they actually said in their email that they are "quiet people who just want a nice place where we can study and do homework." they also "do not enjoy the bar scene, although cassandra enjoys the occasional glass of wine" Sounds like a happenin' summer, huh? And the other people who needed rooms were all, like, 18 and BUBBLY and spelled things wrong. I emailed one girl who seemed to be of sound mind and of a decent age, but she found a place already with some other people. So I eventually accepted the place with the 30 year olds (only 275 a month, and we don't have to pay for August, and there's central air - important for summer in Southern Ontario!) and sure enough, I got an email today from a 23 year old who is looking for a roommate. She had lived on her own, but like me would like a study buddy and a built-in pal. She even uses the word "albeit" in her second sentence. Albeit! I like her already. Damnit. Oh well. She hasn't found a place yet, and I'd have to send her looking since I can't. Andt his way I am guaranteed central air, and may save a month's rent.
And surely I will make friends and just hang out with them, right? And not be left out of things or grouped in with the boring old folks... right?
Oh well. I'll keep an eyeo n the present. *shudder* telemarketing tomorrow with cold symptoms. Or relatively near present - SACKVILLE.
Sackville!
