At Work Again
Hi Folks
Feeling a little down right now - Maeghan is going to be in Halifax for the rest of the summer and I won't get a chance to see her before she goes. So I'm gonna be lonely for a while. As two shut-ins due to dependents (babies, dogs...) we hang out a lot. Ah well, at least if I go out I won't have to feel guilty about doing what she can't, like goin' out drinking every now and then.
But right now it feels like SO many friends are far away. Was talking to Benn last night (Ivy is living in Vancouver with him now) and Ivy shouted "want to come over, Carol?" and it felt so weird to know that this was a ridiculous joke. Weird that two of my friends can be in the same room but the idea of me joining them is preposterous!
I am going to remedy my feeling of missing EVERY one from Mt A by going in to Halifax next weekend. I want to start working on my next nostalgia video with my cousin, and hopefully see Drew. That'll make me feel a little less like Mount Allison has been sliced entirely away from me. I think that will make me feel a lot better.
And while it sucks that Maeghan is away, I still have other Wolfville friends so I'm not friendless or anything. I have a feeling i'll be going up to Halifax every weekend, too. So I'm alright. And life will perk up enourmously once i FINALLY get my paycheck this Thursday.
