So many of those are the things I love too. Hennigar's was once on my list, but no more. They got rid of the goats and replaced them with a kiddie pool full of fish so neglected that their shapes could barely be made out through the filth they lived in. The owner started forcing the poor counter girls to charge an extra $0.25 fee for putting more than one flavour of ice cream on a cone. It is not a happy place to me now. Fortunately for me, one could never accuse Wolfville of lacking in farm market options, and Muddy's sells ice cream.
I love my new home, but I do miss having local produce within walking distance. The only things I could find in the Superstore that were grown in Canada were some mis-labled Swiss chard and a couple of hot house tomatoes. There is no excuse for peas from Guatamala at this time of year.

Oh,and I STILL miss the marinated spicy eggplant at Joeys.

Please tell me the Vogue is still there, and still independent?

Why don't they make Katamari for the Wii??

Something I ask myself every day!

So many things I want to comment on. I MISS SACKVILLE! The Vogue was so awesome, and Joey's! Strawberry season has been a let down this year so far. We've had too much rain and it's ruined the crops and I'm very sad. We planted straweberries last year and they're itty bitty. Oh and Sackville Nova Scotia at one point had 6 or 7 Tim Hortons. It was unreal.

We took some Ontario relatives to the local farm back in Bridgewater and bought them some fresh strawberries. Their reactions - "so sweet! so red! so intense!" - were hilarious. I don't know what passes for strawberries in Upper Canada but apparently our local berries are the shiz, yo.

I loved the Vogue too - I pretty much never missed a toonie movie, even if it was a movie I'd never otherwise watch.

I also really loved the Tantramar Marshes, and the wooden walkways that wind their way through them - whenever I was feeling stressed out, or just in need of a break, I'd walk over there and enjoy the peacefulness and the feeling of being surrounded by nature.
