Sep 12, 2009 21:45

I guess I forgot to clear out my pending icons folder for a while. *g* Here's a big batch of six dozen classic icons, including James Cagney [18]; Henry Fonda [12]; Spencer Tracy [9]; Lana Turner [8]; Gregory Peck [8]; Charles Boyer [6]; Jean Simmons [3]; Joan Blondell [2]; Frank Capra [2]; Cary Grant [1]; and 3 different icons from Dracula, including an animation.

#01-18: James Cagney. The first eight (or rather ten) were example icons for my recent Filing Cabinet texture set. #10 (with Loretta Young) won second place at classicicontest. #11-12 feature Jimmy with pal Frank McHugh. #13-16 were for a "bathing beauties" icontest challenge *g*; and #17-18 were for a "young and old" challenge, respectively showing Cagney and Pat O'Brien in 1938 and 1980.

#19-30: Henry Fonda. Including Fonda as a young Abraham Lincoln, which just messes with my head. #19 won first place at silver_stills.

#31-39: Spencer Tracy--mostly from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. #31 and #32 won first and second place at classicicontest.

#40-47: Lana Turner. #40 won third place at classicicontest.

#48-55: Gregory Peck. Including more book!icons.

#56-61: Charles Boyer. #56-57 won first and second place at classicicontest.

#62-64: Jean Simmons. #62-63 won second and third place at classicontest.

#65-66: Joan Blondell. #65 won Mod's Choice at silver_stills.

#67-68: Director Frank Capra. #67 won third place at classicicontest.

#69: Cary Grant. A halfhearted entry for a "photographs" challenge.

#70-72: Respectively Dwight Frye, Edward Van Sloan, and Bela Lugosi in Dracula. #70 won third place at classicicontest. The last icon is, of course, one of my rare attempts at an animated GIF.
